our goal
Real Men Eat Plants exists to end the stigma around men choosing a plant-based lifestyle. We help people improve their health, support their families, and build a more compassionate way of living — through stories, not sermons.
What started as one person’s commitment to change has grown into a podcast-driven platform that helps people take plant-based living seriously — without making it feel intimidating, preachy, or out of reach.
Our
values.
Six principles that shape every show, story, and conversation we publish.
What we stand for
Six values that quietly direct everything we publish.
Empowerment
We encourage men to take ownership of their health and choices with confidence, curiosity, and consistency.
Inclusivity
We welcome people at every stage of the journey, whether fully plant-based, exploring the lifestyle, or simply trying to make better choices.
Support
We provide a non-judgmental environment that helps people make sustainable progress instead of chasing perfection.
Sustainability
Plant-based living supports personal health while reducing harm to animals and the planet.
Health
We promote the practical benefits of a whole-food plant-based lifestyle — better energy, better habits, and long-term well-being.
Knowledge
We value education, honest discussion, and real-world insight that help people move from curiosity to action.
A journey of passion, podcasts & plants.
Real Men Eat Plants embarked on its journey in 2011, sparked by Bryan’s inspiration from the film Forks Over Knives. What began as a humble blog quickly became a platform dedicated to plant-based living — particularly for men.
The heart of our initiative is the 30-Day Challenge, designed to guide men through a transformative journey toward embracing veganism.
Our outreach expanded with the Real Men Eat Plants Podcast, then The Glen Merzer Show, then Plant Based On Fire, and finally Plants Vs Meat — an engaging, friendly debate between plant-eaters and meat lovers.
Our journey isn’t just about food. It’s about a compassionate, understanding community where everyone, no matter where they are on their path, feels welcomed.
