About Us
our goal
Real Men Eat Plants exists to end the stigma around men choosing a plant-based lifestyle. Our mission is to help men improve their health, support their families, and build a more compassionate way of living through practical guidance, meaningful conversations, and a strong sense of community.
What started as one person's commitment to change has grown into a podcast-driven platform that encourages men to rethink strength, health, and identity. We help people take plant-based living seriously — without making it feel intimidating, preachy, or out of reach.

Real Men Eat Plants: A Journey of Passion, Podcasts, and Plant-Based Living
Real Men Eat Plants embarked on its journey in 2011, sparked by Bryan's inspiration from the film Forks Over Knives. What began as a humble blog quickly became a platform dedicated to plant-based living, particularly for men. Our mission expanded with the launch of the Real Men Eat Plants website, offering an array of blogs that delve into the nuances of a plant-based lifestyle.
The heart of our initiative is the 30-Day Challenge, designed to guide men through a transformative journey toward embracing veganism. This challenge has been a pivotal step for many in adopting and maintaining a plant-based way of life.
Our outreach took a dynamic turn with the introduction of the Real Men Eat Plants Podcast. In its first season, with the collaboration of Rich Reynolds, we produced 38 episodes that resonated with our audience. Building on this success, we introduced The Glen Merzer Show, hosted by Glen Merzer himself. Glen's unique approach, combining prominent guests from the plant-based community with his signature antics and insightful "rants," has captivated a diverse audience.
Recognizing the need to support and celebrate the plant-based community, we launched The Plant Based on Fire Podcast. This platform shines a spotlight on aspiring and established plant-based businesses, offering perspectives from both sides of the dietary spectrum.
"Plants VS Meat" is another innovative addition to our podcast series. This engaging and friendly debate between plant-eaters and meat lovers strikes a balance between entertainment and education.
In the latest season of the Real Men Eat Plants podcast, we're thrilled to have Shane Martin from Shane and Simple as our host. Shane embodies the essence of accessible, practical, and delicious plant-based cooking. His approach is refreshingly straightforward — no fancy equipment or jargon, just real food for real people.
Our journey at Real Men Eat Plants is not just about food; it's about fostering a compassionate, understanding community. We strive to create a space where everyone, regardless of where they are in their plant-based journey, feels welcomed and supported. Join us as we continue to explore, educate, and celebrate the plant-based lifestyle, one podcast, one recipe, and one story at a time.
